“The reason I talk to myself is because I’m the only one whose answers I accept.”
Wand: 12¾", Walnut, dragon heartstring
Loyalty: House of Black, Death Eaters and Slytherin.
Mirror of Erised: If Bellatrix were to stand in front of the Mirror of Erised, she would see herself, standing on the right hand side of Lord Voldemort himself, as his second-in-command, and wife. At their feet would be the bodies of blood-traitors, mudbloods and muggles alike, her cousin Sirius among them. Thinking about this puts more than just a smile on her face and a spring in her step. This is her heart's greatest desire, and will stop at nothing to achieve it.
Amortentia: Walnut, blood and old books. Walnut; the smell of her wand. The wand she has used for evil and unforgivable curses. Blood, a strange and sadistic smell but delicious for her. She likes to write some messages in her victims skin with her dagger like mudblood, blood traitor, world's scum and bloody impure. Old books, because she likes to learn dark magic during her weekends and free time, that's why she steals all the Dark Arts books from the restricted section.
"I know I'm guilty of something, but punishment hardly ever suits the victims of a crime."
Something that has been important to her since she was a child was power. You are respected if you are powerful, you are feared. People pay attention to you, they listen, they revere. This is something she directly learned from her father. She craves power because it means you are the best. she knows some pretty painful hexes and will not hesitate to use them on you. She used this power to gain respect, and abuses it to get what she wants.
Bellatrix is not a woman to be crossed. Most people know to stay away from her and her temper. She has a nasty reputation at school for hexing people who get on her bad side, give her a funny look, or when she's having a bad day- just because she feels like it. She never learned to control her temper and will fly off the handle at anyone, including the sisters she loves more than anything. Her lack of patience and her quick temper have landed many a student in the hospital wing.
She doesn't give a second thought about it, and seeing someone else in pain doesn't bother her. Someone else might consider this heartless, or that she is without a moral compass, but Bellatrix merely sees it as life. Those who are weaker are always under the heel of those who are stronger. If you can be strong, you avoid it. She is strong. It's not her fault if the rest of the world is weak.
Bella is well known for her determined nature. Ever since she was little, once she sets her mind at something, she will stop at nothing to get it. She will manipulate, hurt, lie, beg, borrow and steal to get what she wants. Well, maybe not beg. She's far too proud for that, and has much better ways to get what she wants. This determinedness of hers borders on a point of recklessness. As stated, she will stop at nothing to get what she wants, even if it will eventually lead to her undoing. About Me
“If you're going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you're going to be locked up.”
Name: Bellatrix Callidora Black
Age: 17 years old
Hogwarts Year: 7th
Boggart: What Bellatrix fears more than anything else in the world is failure. She is determined to make her parents proud of her, as well as the Dark Lord. Her Boggart, subsequently, would be her parents and Lord Voldemort, turning their back on her and casting her out of their lives, leaving her, alone in the world with nothing, not even her name. This is the type of thing that keeps her up at night, and pushes her to keep going.
Patronus: Bellatrix's patronus is a black panther. Sleek and mysterious, but also bloodthirsty and terrifying, the panther is a majestic warrior. Not only fitting with her personality, the panther goes hand in hand with the meaning behind her name. The panther spirit animal is powerful and protective. The panther symbolizes courage, valor and power. The panther is the symbol of the mother, the dark moon and the power of the night. It also signifies darkness, death and rebirth.
"Save myself? From death? is that it? Is that why I've come here? I'm not afraid to die. Times I've welcomed death!"
Bellatrix cannot be described as a nice person. Most people would go straight to the word bitch when it comes to describing her. She knows and has taken to owning the word, proclaiming herself the Queen Bitch of Slytherin. They call her that name because she is a powerful woman, because she doesn't back down, because she tells the truth as she sees it. Or at least that is how she views it, which is really the only important thing to her.
She was raised with a strict sense of hierarchy about the world. At the bottom of the pecking order there are the muggles, and barely above them are mudbloods. Then halfbloods, followed by pureblood blood traitors, followed by pureblood society. Society has it's own rules and class standing, but in the end, she is still at the top, because she is a Black. She is always viewing the world through this caste system.
The first thing anyone will tell you if you ask them about Bellatrix Black is that she is not someone to cross. There has hardly been a Slytherin more worthy of the house than Slytherin and the Dark Lord himself. To outsiders, and even those closer to her, Bellatrix is cruel, having no qualms about hurting people to get what she wants. And even simply for the sake of hurting people. You see, she's a bit sadistic, enjoying tormenting others just to watch them squirm.
Even as a small child she would take great delight in setting the House Elves up with impossible tasks, or simply hurting them to see how much she could get away with. She'd give them orders that they had no choice but to disobey, and giggle as they proceeded to hurt themselves as punishment. It was fun for her, and gave her a feeling of power that she has since grown almost addicted to. If you're lucky enough to catch her in one of these moments of weakness, however, watch out.
