In Cold Blood.”
╎ Veronica Lodge once had it all. A caring family, wealth, popularity. Everything she could ever want right at the touch of her fingertips. However, when her father gets arrested and thrown a prison, her once perfect image is now tainted. A blemish of black marring the once perfect reputation of the Lodge name. To try and do as much damage control as possible, Veronica and her mother Hermione leave the big city they once called home behind and head for Riverdale, the hometown of Hermione and the one place Veronica never would have thought she’d end up. Riverdale is small and quaint and Veronica can’t help but feel like she doesn’t quite fit in. However, she’s determined to make it work, for the both of them.
╎ Yet, Riverdale isn’t really willing to welcome the two of them with open arms just yet. The fall of Hiram Lodge is a whisper on everyone’s lips and Veronica knows full well just how most of Riverdale’s current residents feel about her and her mother. Willing to brand them as criminals before even getting to know them. Veronica is feeling suffocated and top of it all, a murder investigation could put Veronica dead center in the budding mystery of the small town, knowing just how much trouble the Lodge family has had with the Blossom family and vice versa.
╎ Veronica doesn’t want anything to do with the rumors circulating around town and she tries her best to ignore the stares and the jeers from the residents. She wants to believe in her father and she still fully has his back, which is why in court she continues to lie for him. Painting him as this perfect family man who is merely a victim. Veronica thinks she has it all worked out, that no one knows the lies and the deceipt she spews to the jury and judge, but someone knows. Someone knows a whole hell of a lot about her and the Lodge family and Veronica’s about to find out just what all of her lying is going to get her.
